A woodblock print work by Tanaami, produced by the Adachi Institute of Woodcut Prints, which carries on the traditional techniques of ukiyo-e woodblock printing, using carefully selected materials and the skilled craftsmanship of its artisans. The work is printed on Echizen kizuki hosho washi, a traditional Japanese paper known for its soft, full-bodied texture and elegant, refined quality. Motifs frequently seen in Tanaami's works, such as drum bridges, pine trees, skulls, and glowing eyes, intertwine in a complex arrangement, forming the silhouette of a skull reminiscent of Arcimboldo's ""composite heads."" The golden sky filled with falling petals and the monochrome sea may be tied to the artist's memories of World War II.
